Web sites and applications are designed and developed on local computers; they must be transferred to a server, or host, so that they are available to the rest of the world over the internet, the act of doing so is called hosting. Most commonly there are 2 types of hosting options shared and dedicated.
Shared hosting refers to a hosting service where many clients are on one server connected to the internet. Shared hosting is cost efficient, but it is not recommended for a high traffic site or for hosting web applications.
Dedicated Hosting refers to hosting service where only one client resides on a server connected to the internet. Dedicated hosting requires a lot of configuration and the hardware and operating system can vary from one server to the other. Server specifications are based on the type of site or application the client would like to host.
At Integrated Webworks we provide shared and dedicated hosting services for both web and email hosting based on clients requirements.
